I managed to get hold of a few pallets thanks to our next door neighbours having some extensive building work done. I cut the pieces down to smaller sizes to make some art for my new dwellings in the summer. The wood sanded down lovely and I used some chalk paint to give a white wash look and still keep the wood grain showing. I then used some distress inks to give a more aged look. I have also had a play with twine to decorate glass jars, if I have time I will show you how I made the twine flowers in a later post.
